mysql command freezing in windows console -


when xampp's mysql stopped. typing in git bash console, receiving error.

    $ mysql -v error 2003 (hy000): can't connect mysql server on 'localhost' (10061 "unknown error")

and when on, console freezing. don't know do. xammp installation fresh , mysql added path. commands works in ubuntu, there no problem @ all.
