Why is the parents field in Google Drive API an array? -


perhaps irrelevant other appease ocd, why parent field in google drive api (i'm using v3, believe same in v2, too) return array? there ever situation there multiple parents file?

good question, because many people make mistake of thinking parent folder sort of container. isn't. in gdrive should think of parents (aka folders) labels. works pretty same way gmail, ie. individual email can have many labels.
